What is the Irondale Drumline?

The drumline is an indoor percussion ensemble consisting of the marching percussion (also called battery) and front ensemble (also called pit) sections of a marching band. Indoor percussion combines the elements of music performance, marching, and theater. The drumline consists of students from both Irondale and Mounds View high schools. The drumline competes at area competitions and travels to the Winter Guard International (WGI) competition in Ohio in April.
