MEMBER SAFEty

POLICY & PROCEDUREs

Irondale Band Programs (“IBP”) takes member safety very seriously and requires contracted staff, participants, and volunteers (including those through Irondale Band Boosters) to observe high standards of business and personal ethics in the conduct of their duties and responsibilities.   We have adopted policies (please see below) to protect members from harassment and discrimination, and to protect whistleblowers acting in good faith to report suspected violations.

The policies below are incorporated into the member handbooks.  Members are required to sign acknowledgment of receipt and acquiescence to comply in their member contract.

Further, all program staff and members of the executive board of the band boosters are required to complete regular training on member safety through SafeSport training programs as required by WGI (World Guard International) and DCI (Drum Corps International) as well as state performance circuits.

We encourage anyone with information or complaint to contact the Band Director or an officer of the Band Boosters (emails above right).
